Welcome back to the world of Pokémon!
Game Rambling
My experience with Pokémon games has mainly been about Silver&Gold Version, you better be sitting down for this, because I have a lot to say, and not all of it is a happy story.

Pokémon Silver is pretty nostalgic for me, I remember playing long long ago, but I never knew the version name -- only that it was called Pokémon.

My starter of choice is Cyndaquil, this is because I didn't have much fire types when I played Sapphire Version a long time ago, and I like fire types.

My journey with Cyndaquil was amazing, we caught many Pokémon along the way, and exploring the world learning about the folklore. The world was so immersive, It's hard to look at everything as numbers and colors. I treated my Pokémon well.

Unfortunetly, It feels like too long ago to reacall all of my Pokémon and their nicknames, but I did give some names. The one I remember most is Vulpix, whose name is Rose, for it's red hair, and would subdue the opponent with charming attacks then strike!
1. Where's the data?
But why can't I load the file again? Well.. the battery died as I was saving.

It was a day like any other, I played for hours on end, the battery was getting low, but I wanted to play longer. I remember I got the SILVER WING, and was so excited for what lies next, it felt like a good cliffanger to leave on, and the battery was low, so I had to save now. But it was too late, the battery was too low, and it died during saving. I plugged the GBA SP in, and turned it on... I was devastated. Call me anything you want, but it was the first time a cried in a long time. It felt not only like my progress reset, but my Pokémon were killed as well. The things I was so attached to from the beginning.
...
I replayed the game again and again, but that moment haunted me, not just inside, but within the game as well. The game would crash sometimes, even during saving. I was given Gold Version to play instead since my cartridge was corrupted. It wasn't help though.

I beat the Elite Four, the Champion, I got to the Hall of Fame, but the game didn't save. I'd reload the file to be sent back to the Champion.
... I still had a region to explore, the adventure isn't over!
It's not fair.. the game I searched so long for, giving me so much sorrow.

But why.. why did it happen?

The thing both cartridges had in common, was they were both bought on eBay, they were fake cartridges that were GBA flash roms with flash memory instead of the regular Battery Backup that the originals had. This caused glitches, such as BOX 8 being a black hole, any Pokémon put within, would be removed. The Box always said it had more Pokémon than the maximum, Trading wouldn't save the game, the clock wouldn't progress, and the worst, The Hall of Fame doesn't save.

Be careful about getting fake/reproduction carts. You don't know how bad it could be, until the very end. The hardware change from Battery Backup to Flash changed the way the games worked, and caused glitches that shouldn't exist.

There's still hope.
I have an official Pokémon Crystal cartridge (idk where the official Silver went) I'm currently in the proccess of replacing the Battery Backup to play the game, start to end, the way it was meant to.
2. Tidbits
Y'know, I've wanted to make a fun interactable website that worked as a guide for catching Pokémon where you'd click around the Johto and Kanto region, complete with NPC's and background music, and surf the Pokedex and be pointed to all locations to where they're seen. It was too much work though.

I was a nut about Pokémon since-- about 10 I wanna say. I had the official Pokémon Pokedex guide book I got from a flea market, and I have a cap with the starters and Pikachu!

Ny Favorite Pokémon are, Charizard, Cyndaquil, Jigglypuff, Lapras, Vulpix, and Pikachu. I even have a plush for Charizard and Pikachu.

I know the original 151 Pokémon.. can't recite them all at once though.

Trading Cards
Not yet, I have a bunch of cards to go through.
